Curious about me?
While growing up on the coast of California, I fell in love with nature and the sea. Whether I was surfing, sailing, backpacking or snowboarding, I always needed to be in the great outdoors. The desire to know more led me to study the field of Marine Biology and Wildlife in college. But it was getting certified as a diver that sparked a passion for knowing more about the oceans and at the same time being able to interact with it.
Finishing college with a degree in Marine Biology, I headed for Monterey, where with good fortune I landed a position working for a company that specialized in underwater photography. This opportunity, matched with being accepted as a diver for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, lead me to begin teaching as an underwater photo Instructor. I spent the next few years teaching others and educating them on the environment in which we were photographing.
After 7 years in Monterey my pull towards the mountains could no longer be denied. I moved to Lake Tahoe and began focusing on photographing Weddings, landscapes, wildlife and extreme sports. I never imagined that the beauty and grandeur of Tahoe and mountain living would keep me there for over 5 years.
Craving the energy of the sea I have relocated back to Southern California where I am actively working on a acquiring a teaching credential through California State University of San Marcos and Co-teaching at Oceanside High School . Keeping true to my heart, I will always be looking to travel outside any area in which I live to continue to experience all this planet has to offer.
