Thanks for visiting the work of Tony Mertz and Above and Below Imaging. I have been traveling and shooting nature and underwater photography for over 10 years. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and my love for the ocean I finally decided to take it all underwater and have loved every minute of it. Being relatively self taught has allowed me the freedom to develop my own style while continuing to experiment with the rules of photography.

Lately, I have been spending a lot of time in Lake Tahoe, photographing everything from nature and landscapes to extreme sports and weddings. It never ceases to amaze me that an area of such beauty continues to deliver new and spectacular sites that keeps everyone looking for more. I will always be looking to travel outside any area in which I live to experience all that this beautiful planet has to offer.
